"FCAC CLASSROOM"-EVENTS, WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES

First City Art Center offers its classroom space for rent to the community to hold events, workshops and lessons!  Belly Dancing, Free-Verse Fridays Open Mic Night and Life Drawing are a few of the offerings that are open to the public.  Check back often as we are always adding to the list!

RAKU SATURDAY

First City Art Center will be having another popular Raku firing with instructor Ben Twingley, on Sat. Sept. 6th from 9 a.m. – Noon. Firing fee is $60 for non-members and $51 for members. Group size is limited to 6 students. Firingwill be held at First City Art Center, 1060 N. Guillemard St.

Raku kiln purchased with funding provided by the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival.

Create fun, unique tie-dye t-shirts and aprons and help First City Art Center raise funds.  The Peace, Love and Tie-Dye fundraiser takes place October 4, 2014 from 1 - 4pm.

FIRST BI-ANNUAL CLAY CONFERENCE FEATURING STEVEN HILL

First City Art Center is proud to announce it will be holding its first bi-annual Clay Conference featuring acclaimed potter Steven Hill.  Friday night will be a free admission night to meet Steven Hill and listen tohis lecture.  Saturday's workshop will be from 9am - 5pm and Sunday's workshop will be from9am - 4pm.
