Welcome to Glass 101, you’re here to become a glassblower. This two person class teaches the fundamentals of glassblowing and working on a team with your glass partner. This class requires completion of the Hot Glass Basics class. This class is designed for a team of 2 students who enroll together – you may take this class solo, but we recommend taking Glass Basics and Glass 101 with the same person.

In Glass 101 we will cover: gathering from the furnace, starter bubbles, making basic solid and blown forms, puntie transfers, applying colored glass frit and coldworking. After completing this course and learning these skills you will have the ability to rent our glassblowing studio independently.

Scheduling: To keep the knowledge fresh in the students minds, we will have 6 sessions over the course of 3 weeks. Classes will meet for 3hrs every Monday and Thursday nights from 6-9.
