Art Lab

Art Labs covers a range of art mediums including ceramics, printmaking, textiles, drawing, painting, and more! Each project is taught step by step with an instructor. Projects are developed to strengthen fine motor skills, decision-making, autonomy, creative problem solving, and build foundational skills of visual communication. These classes are a great introduction to art for new students, as well as an opportunity for students to continue building skills from previous sessions.

Clay Hand Building

These classes includes learning the fundamentals of slab and coil construction techniques, slipping and scoring, and other various sculpture processes. Students will have the opportunity to use ceramic glaze as well as painting with acrylic paints to finish their creations. Suitable for students of any experience level!

Medium Focused

This program is designed to focus on working in one medium to gain a deeper understanding of a certain material or process in 3 class sessions. This two and a half hour class is for teens who have some experience in art classes and want to devote more time to developing their skills in a specific medium. All supplies included, personal supplies encouraged. This class requires an application of interest before being enrolled.

YAP Studio

YAP Studio is offered as a supplemental class for students currently taking a class with us, have taken class with us in the past & don’t want or need to be in a structured step by step class, or students who take art class in school and want space and resources to develop their personal or academic projects further. They will have access to our resources with an instructor present to offer guidance and support if needed. There is no structured project planned for this time so students can collaborate or work independently. They should be communicating with the instructor present what they plan to work on. Students can arrive and leave whenever they see fit.

Youth Art Camps – Offered on Student Holidays

Each camp will include a full art lesson, hands-on creative project, and (weather permitting) outdoor break times. Participants will have the opportunity to explore different materials and learn new techniques. Teachers lead step by step structured projects with flexibility to allow students the opportunity to make artistic choices while learning a range of mediums!

**Half Day camps open to ages 5-12
