Creatisphere Summer Art Programming for Teens
2026 registration will open to FCAC Members April 3rd. General registration will open April 10th. Email create@firstcityart.org to be added to the emailing list for updates.
Individual programming will be focused on specific mediums such as painting, ceramics, mixed media, photography, murals & public art, and textile patchwork! All necessary materials provided, personal supplemental materials will be requested according to each programs needs. Open to ages 13 – 18.
Classes will be twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 – 5pm. Info on specific classes will be available to view April 3rd.
The Mural Painting program will be a Summer long project meeting once a week on Wednesdays 3-5pm starting June 3 and ending July 29.
No camp June 29 – July 3.

Animal Portrait Painting $60
June 2 & 4
This 2 part class students will create animal portraits using acrylic paint on canvas! Students will learn how to use a reference photo, they’ll learn the fundamentals of using acrylic paint, and exercise their creativity through color, composition, and more! All materials included. Students will need to be prepared with a photo of the animal they would like to create a painting of on the first day of class.
Ceramics $90
June 9,11, 17 & 18
This 4 class program will cover both beginner pottery on the wheel and hand building techniques using kiln fired clay. Students will get to learn the fundamentals of clay ceramics and have long lasting pottery pieces. All materials included.
Mixed Media & Zine $75
June 23 & 25 July 7 & 9
This 4 class program students will explore paper collage, zine creation, and book binding all while sharpening research, narrative, and writing skills! All materials included.
Photography $140
July 14, 16, 21 & 23
This 4 class program students will learn various photography techniques, processes, and history of the art practice! All materials will be provided. Students are recommended to bring their own camera (using their smart phone camera is sufficient) to learn how to utilize the tools they already have. We will also provide other tools for students to learn on.
Textile Patch Making $60
July 28 & 30
In this two part class, students will create their own patches using various materials and techniques! Students will have the opportunity to do some fabric printing, painting, hand embroidering, and machine sewing. Bring item of clothing to customize. All other materials will be provided.
Summer Long Mural Project $250
Wednesdays June 3 – July 29
The Summer Teen Mural Program will meet once a week on Wednesdays from 3-5pm to learn about the history of public arts, large scale installations, collaborative painting as well as various techniques and strategies used by mural artists! They will work together as a group to plan and execute a collaborative mural throughout the summer. This 8 week program begins June 3rd and ends July 29th with a break July 1st. All materials provided.

Cancellation Policy
Students will receive a refund of tuition minus 10% if the student contacts us no later than 7 days prior to the first day of class. Cancellations up to 48 hours before the start of the class will receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations within 48 hours before the start of the class, or after the class has begun will not be refunded. In the case of an emergency, the student may be able to transfer their payment towards another class based on availability.
If you need to move your enrollment to another session you must contact us at least 7 days prior to the start of the class. You cannot move enrollment forward after a class has already begun.
Class sizes are limited and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, FCAC is unable to prorate students for missed classes or classes that they are unable to attend. We strive to provide the highest quality art classes and we value your feedback.
